Pro-Milosevic supporters continue to protest for their former leader despite it becoming increasingly clear that his rule is finished.
Despite frantic counter protests by Milosevics supporters it became clear that a revolution had taken place within Serbia. Milosevic with his family and bodyguards were laid siege to at his private house in a Belgrade suburb by the Special Police whom he had once relied on. After a violent stand off Milosevic was arrested and imprisoned in Belgrade. In a deal to gain international recognition the Belgrade authorities handed Milosevic over for trial to the war crimes tribunal in the Hague.
